How to participate in what we do:

SAVE

United Methodist Women (UMW)

The vision of United Methodist Women is turning faith, hope and love into action by supporting mission projects on behalf of women, children and youth in the United States and over 100  other countries.

Locally we sponsor Bingo games for residents of two nursing homes. We make UMCOR Kits to provide relief and respond to the suffering caused by disasters around the world.  Through our Readings Program, we promote spiritual growth and education for our members.

Our United Methodist Women meet the third Wednesday at 7 p.m. from September through May.  All women are welcome.

Camp Norwesca

Chadron, Nebraska:

Your adventure starts here this summer in the beauty of Pine Ridge at Camp Norwesca. Camp Norwesca is all about fun, friendship and learning more about who we are as children of God. Test your skills with archery, outdoor cooking and team building exercise. Get closer to nature by hiking, horseback riding and exploring the Ponderosa Forest with hay rack rides. Then cool off with a ride on our super slide or swimming at Chadron State Park. Unwind next to the crackling campfire while singing songs and roasting marshmallows. Drift off into a peaceful sleep in one of our cabins or under the stars, listening to crickets singing and wind blowing throught the trees. In the midst of God's beautiful creations, Camp Norwesca is truly a unique setting and destination for you to experience friendship and growth.

The Care/Share Program was started in 2002 during the Lenton season.  We delivered a home cooked meal every Saturday during that season to people in our church who had a hard time getting out or just wanted someone else’s cooking for one day!

It was so well received that the Outreach Committee decided to continue it twice a month for the rest of the year.

Fifteen years later we are still cooking and delivering meals.

When we started the program we asked for and received funding from the Endowment Committee, we have become mostly self-funding by recipient donations as well as memorials.

There are 3 ways to become involved in this program:

·        Preparing meals

·        Delivering meals

·        Receiving meals

If you are interested in any of these please contact the church office or Linda Raddatz (254-4799).
